Happy Chuckay!
Happy Chuckay!
Today marks the start of the month long celebration of all things Chuck. I am told that several countries throughout the world staged large parades in honor of Chuckay. This is a great start to the celebration.
I hope all of you, in your own manner, take time out to celebrate Chuckay.
Chuckay is best celebrated with good friends, good food, and cold beer. Of course, that is just one suggestion. I’m certain that you can find the best food, drink, and friends combination your parties.
Woman of the Moment
The new Woman of the Moment is Carmen Electra. I was almost going to pick Denise Richards but I changed my mind at the last moment or very close to the last moment. I had also considered the Indian actress Shilya Shetty who got in trouble for being kissed in public by Richard Gere.
If I had a regular girl friend, I would have to give her strong consideration for Woman of the Moment during Chuckay.
Some of you way say that Carmen Electra is not an actress. You are entitled to your opinions. According to the Internet Movie Database [IMDb.com], Carmen has been in a total of fifty six television and film productions in a variety of capacities. Carmen has never been accused of tossing a computer at an old woman in a wheel chair.
Carmen is 32 [April 20, 1972] which seems older for an actress. For the statistically inclined and I know there are those of you that are that way, Carmen is 63 inches / 160 centimeters tall. I would have thought she was taller but I guess movies can be deceiving if you don’t pay attention. The rest of her measurements are 36C – 23 – 35 inches / 91 – 58 – 89 centimeters.
Carmen has a web site and you can find it at www.carmenelectra.com. Navigation is a little stiff but workable with a minimal amount of efforts.
I hope you enjoy her tour of duty as the Woman of the Moment.
Teaching
My Microeconomics class was a bit more animated today. I only have five male students so the class has become more informal. I have found that if I can explain some of the more complicated concepts in a manner that touches the students personally, I can have a better time with the course and the students are more likely to remember the lessons.
The school has a very aggressive faculty evaluation program.
The current term’s evaluation started on Friday April 27th. By this morning, I had received three emails from the campus administration about my students’ lack of participation in the evaluation. One of my students said the evaluation web site wasn’t working over the weekend.
The evaluations are important to me. If I get poor evaluations, I will not be teaching there next term. I think I will do fine this term.
El Burrito Junior
Doug has been going to El Burrito Junior in Torrance, California for Mexican food off and on since he has been coming to my place because of his internships. El Burrito is across the parking lot from Giuliano’s.
Doug thinks El Burrito is a better meal than El Gringo. Personally, I think that is a mighty bold statement. So tonight, we are going to take Pepsi Challenge and see whether or not El Burrito is better than El Gringo.
I had a Super Deluxe Chicken Burrito. Doug had a Super Deluxe Carnitas Burrito. They are about the same size as the ones from El Gringo. We got the burritos to go and skipped hitting Giuliano’s for a dessert to go.
We are going to Morton’s on Sunday and that will include the Morton’s Godiva Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream for each of us for our dessert.
Epic
But back to El Burrito Junior. We essentially disagreed on which one was better. I liked El Gringo because their burritos are a bit spicier and Doug liked the milder and dryer ones from El Burrito Junior. Doug also says having a tall, blonde, blue eyed server with a California tan clashes with the ambience of a Mexican restaurant.
We will be visiting Albertacos in a couple of weeks so we will be able to agree on the best place for Mexican food.
Enough about food for today.
Be well and stay happy.
