New Young Lady
The New Young Lady phoned me this morning.
I thought this was a nice way to start the work week. I was wrong again.
The New Young Lady was calling to say she will not be able to go to the jazz concert this Saturday night. This was the second time the New Young Lady has stiffed me for an evening out. She said she had relatives coming into town this weekend and had family obligations.
Ms Flaky said she was going to call me last night and tell me but she changed her mind because she did not want to spoil my weekend. I was tempted to tell her that at 8:00 PM local time on Sunday, my weekend was about over. She said she didn’t want me to think she was flaky or being unreliable at all.
Why would I think that?
Maybe a lot of experience with her and keeping appointments.
My coming weekend went down the drain when she said she had to cancel. It made no difference when she told me. The weekend results were still the same. If this had been a simple go to the movies event, I would not have been as upset as I am with a ticketed event.
Anyway, life is too short for warm beer and cheap cigars. I am over it now and have moved on beyond Ms Flaky who is now considered to be Ms Gone.
My day was a downer for me. I don’t feel like writing much more tonight; may be tomorrow will be better for me.
