Emerald Bowl Victory

Emerald Bowl Victory
Our, the Princess and me, underdog University of Utah Utes badly beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the Emerald Bowl in San Francisco this afternoon. The final score was Utah 38, Georgia Tech 10.

Epic victory.

Glorious victory.

For the record for my foreign readers, this was an American football college match. The Emerald Bowl has nothing to do with Ireland as far as I can tell. The game was sponsored by the Emerald Nuts company; they produce a variety of shelled nut products liked salted peanuts and cashews. Their salted peanuts are a perfect companion for a frosty cold beer or three.

The Princess promised me that she would be a graceful winner. She enjoys winning a whole lot. She did say she has one [male] friend who went to Georgia Tech. He wanted to place a modest wager on the outcome of the game. His school, Georgia Tech, was favored by nine points; the Princess got him to up the points to ten before the game. I think the final score is even more impressive since Georgia Tech has one of the best defensive teams in the country.

I am finished with my post season college football viewing now. But, I will watch the national championship game on next Wednesday. The Princess has one more game when her University of South Carolina Gamecocks play the University of Missouri in the Independence Bowl.

Live well and play hard; celebrate a Utah victory.
