The Posting That Almost Never Was
I was tempted to not post a blog tonight. I got home from school later than usual today because I went to the credit union to get some money out of the ATM and I went to the market for a small amount of food.
By the time lunch was over and I had changed, it was after 3:30 PM. Then, I read the newspaper. I also worked on the day’s sudoku puzzle which was more a challenge than a puzzle that carried a “gentle rating.” I had to erase the puzzle and begin again when I discovered I had made an error. The puzzle was each easier on the second time. That was probably because the proper numbers were going in the correct squares.
My Friend Sharon
My friend Sharon called me today.
She was returning my phone call from Saturday. I had phoned her to see if she wanted to go to the theater on June 2nd. I will be in Atlanta to see the Princess. Sharon was disappointed that she could not use the tickets. She is doing something.
Sharon was driving home when she called. She often calls me when she is stuck in slow moving traffic. We talked about her job and how badly her former employer is doing in ethnic marketing. Sharon is a dead solid professional at ethnic marketing. We laughed at their problems.
We talked about a project that she has with the current employer. I don’t think it can be made to work since the data processing system does not seem to be able to produce the key or critical data. I think the problem is not being able to ask the data processing people the proper questions or design the data request properly. I know their system has the data; it is only a question of unlocking it. That should be easy.
Sharon got home so we ended the conversation.
Teaching
I had a full house in my class today. This was to be expected since I was going to go over the final examination, question by question. The final examination is a killer so only an overly confident student would skip out on the review.
I expect that my Thursday class will be a full house since I am doing a final examination review there as well.
I spoke with the dean about my teaching schedule for the next term today. He said he had me slotted in four classes right now and he was working to give me a fifth class. The dean wanted me to teach a mathematics class.
I am terrible in mathematics and I hate the subject. I was saved from a fate much worse than having a car breakdown on the Southern California freeways because I did not have enough hours of mathematics courses.
I should know my schedule when I go to school on Thursday to teach.
Woman of the Moment
Today is the last day for Carmen Electra. I will have a new Woman of the Moment tomorrow. I was watching one of the Hollywood entertainment programs while I was waiting for Doug to come home tonight. They reported that Carmen had just announced her dating breakup.
That’s too bad. Carmen should consider me as a potential date. I don’t have a bigger celebrity name than hers. I won’t try to hog the spotlight and the cameras. I don’t have a fragile ego that needs constant maintenance and care. I am self sufficient and adaptable.
Just a thought Carmen.
