The Counter Burger

The Counter Burger
Doug and I had lunch at The Counter Burger [ http://www.thecounterburger.com ] today. This was the concluding event of Douguary 2009. It was also the initial event of Chuckay 2009.

We both agreed that the hamburgers at The Counter Burger were very good and the food was very fresh. They were well cooked and juicy. The Counter Burger is a gourmet hamburger restaurant chain and it does a very good job of it.

The service today was crisp and efficient. We arrived for lunch around 12:30 PM; our wait was about five minutes, much less than the hostess had told us it would be.

The big hook for The Counter Burger is that you can create your own hamburger or other protein based hamburger. You can choose from 10 cheeses, 28 condiments, 12 sauces, and 3 types of buns. Some of you that are mathematics nerds can figure out all of the possible combinations.

Some of the food offerings are on the unusual side. Doug ordered a 50/50 fries plate to share, it is that large. You get regular French fries and sweet potato fries, hence, the 50/50 description. The sweet potato fries were very good once you got past the bright orange look to them.

Doug and I would both recommend The Counter Burger as a fine place for a gourmet burger where you may have a large, juicy burger and not feel terribly guilty; the meal is all organic.

The final result; yum yum yum. The sweet potato fries are in the background with the regular French fires.

Odd Visitors
I went to the blog today to see how it is doing. It is doing well with an average daily visitor count of 81 as of today. This changes so it will be different tomorrow. I did notice that we had visitors from some unusual places like the Lao Peoples’ Democratic Republic, the Azores, Reunion, and French Guiana.

For those of you who are not geographically inclined, Reunion is an island in the western Indian Ocean. It is an overseas French territory.

Be well and stay happy.
