A brighter day

I drove by my Fatburger yesterday while I was out running some errands. As some readers may remember, it has been closed since before Memorial Day and I have enjoyed no Fatburgers with Swiss cheese and everything and Fat Fries.

It seems like a brighter day may soon dawn for me.

I saw some workers who were carrying small pieces of trash, boxes mostly, out of the building. I was stopped for a traffic light so I had a chance to look in the now uncovered windows. It looked like the construction project as finally finished or within a few more days of completion. It could open this weekend.

The question that remains for me is will the old crews that I had a conversational relationship with still be there or will there be all new faces. If there are new faces then my need to return is diminished sharply.

Why start all over again with a new crew?

I’ve managed to survive very well without Fatburger. I’ve found alternatives like Chipotle Mexican Grill and Smashburger.

I do have In n Out as an option but the fries at the closest one are horrid. I could swing by the In n Out for a Double Double and roll through McDonalds for an order of fries. The alternative would be to cook some frozen fries at home and then I know I would have hot and not limp fries.

I could also drive much further to a Fatburger and enjoy my hamburger and fries there.

The lack of Fatburgers probably influenced my lack of desire to write for the blog.
