Patriotic Chuckuary

Chuckuary had a very nostalgic patriotic moment this morning.

The Wings of Freedom Tour had been at Zamperini Field in Torrance for a three day exhibition. The group feature flying warplanes from World War II. I got to see the B-17, B-24, B-25 and P-51 all take off this morning as they moved on to the next stop in the tour at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

I didn’t have my camera with me because this was a chance sighting. I don’t think either my camera or my smartphone would have been much use since the planes were moving and neither camera has telephoto lens.

It felt great to be an American this morning.
