No More Aiko Tanaka Photos

No More Aiko Tanaka Photos
I was looking for some black and white crepe bunting to drape over the blog today. Regrettably, I could not find any. White happens to the color for mourning in Asia; just as many Westerners morn in black.

Aiko Tanaka’s attorney forced Doug and me to take down her photos. We didn’t want to face legal action. The attorney said that we weren’t portraying her in a “bad light.”

I was reminded of the phrase from Shakespeare’s Henry VI of “The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.”

But, not all lawyers are evil.

Anyway and more to the point, it seems to me that Ms Tanaka is the one who is being harmed the most by the removal of the photos. Based on some Sitemeter.com tracking information, her images have been viewed, on average, 25 to 30 times a day over the last eighteen months. Assuming an average number of views of 27 a day, this means that 9,855 of her fans will not see her over the next year.

In closing, sorry guys, life happens and to Ms Tanaka, good luck with your career.

Be well and stay happy.
